Christmas is here! …according to the retail calendar that is. With this being my 7th Christmas at Chapters, I’m pretty much immune to the excitement of the Xmas rush. Yet, a very small part of me finds it difficult to even imagine a retail-less Christmas.

I’m about a week behind, but please allow me to introduce our new kiosks…

They’re actually quite nice. I love the look of the built-in keyboard but absolutely hate using it because it’s so flat; it’s definitely going to take some getting used to. The design of the kiosk is alright, and I can appreciate the implementation of a built-in scanner under the monitor (for employee use only) and the built-in printer. The sensitivity of the touch screen could use a bit of work though.

Vanesa came to visit me at work downtown on Wednesday. It was her first time at the store since I started working there two and a half years ago. She modeled for those funky readers we sell. I hope she doesn’t kill me for putting up that photo lol

I foresee a very stressful month coming up; assignments, tests, and finals to study for. I must remember to keep sane ;)
