been a while, eh?

I’ve been neglecting my blogs for a while as you can see. Since my last post, I haven’t had a day to myself where I could just sit home and not do anything at all for an entire day. And believe me, my work schedule wasn’t even that packed. I just happened to have plans for every free day I had, so that was a bit draining. But life’s been completely stress-free, and I’m enjoying every minute of it for as long as I can.

So last Sunday was my day off. Georgia took me out for dinner at The David Duncan House to celebrate my birthday. The food was AMAZING, and I loved the ultra classy atmosphere of the restaurant. I just love fine dining!!

After work on Monday, a few of my co-workers and I went out for dinner with Zahra (my old manager). She had dropped by a week earlier when her son was in town and I had a good time catching up with him. The very first thing he said to me was, “Don’t work so hard!!” heh Now guess what the last thing he said to me was? lol I see him only once a year or so, and even he knows me as a crazy workaholic girl!!

On Tuesday, Vanesa came over with chocolate cookies and cupcakes. After enjoying our munchies, we went through my wardrobe to decide what outfits I’ll be bringing with me on the cruise. We put together just over a dozen outfits, and then we had a good time just goofing off in front of the camera. That’s the kind of stuff best friends do, I guess :)

Thursday was my day off again. Georgia picked me up early and we went to the post office to pick up my passport. After grabbing lunch, we went over to her house and spent hours going through paperwork for the cruise and calling places with our questions. The worst part had to be going through all the information I gathered about the different islands and deciding on which shore excursions we would be taking. Just 37 days to go!!!

I pretty much had to work through the weekend, but I was happy to catch dinner with Charmaine and Edison on Saturday night at The Midtown Restaurant. I can’t believe it’s already been a year since Charmaine left for Taiwan with her boyfriend. It almost feels like that was yesterday, except now she’s back already! Time flew by way too quickly, but I guess that’s a good thing. We’re so happy that she’s back :D

After work on Sunday, I met up with Adrienne and we went shopping at Eaton Centre for her new cellphone plan. We were overwhelmed by the amount of info we received from all the different sales people. Some of those plans were actually pretty good. Too bad I still have a year and a half left of my contract. Booooo~

So yeah, I’ve had a good time catching up with everyone and just enjoying life minus the textbooks. I’ve also been doing a lot of reflective thinking, and slowly I’m finding more and more inner peace. I’ll share some of my thoughts later, but for now……good night!
